The 1920 census, conducted on 10 January 1920, has Antonio, Marietta, and three young children living in the town of Lafayette, Boulder County, Colorado. Antonio, listed in the census as Anthony, is the head of the household, 34 years old, is married and renting their home. It shows he immigrated to the US in 1900 and is a resident alien. He can both read and write. He was born in Italy and his mother tongue was Italian. His parents were both born in Italy and both spoke Italian. He also is able to speak English. His occupation is miner in a coal mine. Marietta, listed as Mary, was 26 years old, immigrated to the US in 1914 and is a resident alien. (we know this immigration date is not correct because they were married in Denver in 1913). At the time of the census she could not read or write and did not speak English. The children are Domenic, age 5; Theresa, age 2 (almost 3); and Angelina, age 1 (almost 2).
